MoCI Launches New Violation Reporting Service on MOCIQatar App

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has introduced a new feature on their MOCIQatar App, allowing residents and citizens to report violations directly through their smartphones. This initiative, launched on July 8th, 2024, aims to strengthen consumer rights and improve the quality of services offered in Qatar.

The MOCIQatar App, downloadable on both iOS and Android devices, now includes a “Report a Complaint” function. The Ministry has also shared a QR code on their social media platforms for easy access to the app.

What Violations Can Be Reported?

This new service empowers users to report a wide range of concerns, including:

• Pricing and Sales: Submit complaints related to unfair pricing or misleading sales practices.
• Product and Service: Report issues with product quality or unsatisfactory services.
• Advertisement and Information: Flag deceptive or misleading advertisements.
• Invoice and Payment: Report problems with billing or unacceptable payment methods.
• Licensing and Compliance: File complaints regarding non-compliance with regulations or licensing issues.
• Health, Safety, and Public Order: Report violations that pose a threat to health, safety, or public order.

How to Report a Violation on MOCIQatar App

Reporting a violation is a simple process:

1. Log in to the MOCIQatar App.
2. Click on “Services“.
3. Select “Report a Complaint“.
4. Choose the appropriate “Complaint Type” and “Complaint Category“.
5. Click “Next” to proceed.
6. Fill out the detailed complaint information.
7. Click “Next” to submit your complaint.

Once submitted, you can track the status of your complaint within the app, providing you with transparency and keeping you informed throughout the process.
